From Burning Man to Selling Art

From Burning Man to Selling Art

In 2009, I attended Burning Man for the first time, and returned with the message that I needed more play and art in my life.  I started doing personal growth work to work through baggage from my child hood and find my way to more play.  Then after Burning Man 2010, I needed to start painting again; so, I started taking painting classes.  For Burning Man 2011, I painted flags for our camp and build a small solar panel array to power light at our camp.  By Burning Man 2012, I was ready to share the lessons I had learned in the last three years; so, I started teaching classes at our camp (like There are No Mistakes…)

Then for Burning Man 2014, I decided to build an art project.  I build the pyramid pictured below called “Spiritual Oasis Pyramid”.  It was 18 feet tall, powered by solar panels on the opposite side (not shown) that powered the lights and 24 hour guided meditations inside.  The sides of the pyramid where hand painted by myself and artist friends.

In the last 7 years of pushing myself to grow and learn new things.  I have learned that life is change, and art can lead that change.  With change comes growth and a happier life.

I love art and painting.  I have taken classes in Acrylic Painting, Oil Painting, Plein Air Painting, Encaustic Painting, Mural Painting, Portrait Drawing, Colored Pencils, and Water Color Painting since attending my first burning man. So far, I have focused on Oil Painting and Encaustic Painting.  I am very excited to finally have this website to share and sell the paintings I have been creating over the last 3 years.

After 25 years of computer programming it is really fun to try my dream job as a full-time artist.  So, enjoy my paintings, and buy one to bring more art into your life.  I will talk to you soon.  I have much more to share.
